Stay Until Sunday (the “App”) is owned and operated by Mijenu Technologies, Inc., a Delaware corporation (“we,” “us,” “our”). This page explains how to request deletion of your Stay Until Sunday account and its associated data, what is deleted or kept, and how long any residual copies are retained.
Delete your account from within the App
The fastest way to delete your account and data is directly in the App:
- Open Stay Until Sunday and sign in.
- On the Home screen, tap the gear / Settings icon.
- Tap “Delete account.”
- Re-enter your password when prompted, to confirm it’s you.
- Confirm the deletion. Your account and associated data are then deleted.
Request deletion by email
If you can’t access the App (for example, you’ve uninstalled it or can’t sign in), email hello@stayuntilsunday.com from the email address on your account and ask us to delete your account. We’ll verify the request and complete the deletion within 30 days (usually much sooner), and confirm when it’s done.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove:
- your account and sign-in (Firebase Authentication record);
- your profile (your name and avatar/initials);
- your private data — your email address and any notification/push tokens;
- every trip you solely own, including that trip’s itinerary, notes, votes and polls, chat messages, packing and grocery lists, liked places, and receipt photos and the amounts extracted from them.
What is kept or transferred
Because Stay Until Sunday is about planning trips together, some content is shared with the other members of a trip and is not yours alone to erase:
- If you own a trip that has other members, ownership is transferred to another member so their trip isn’t lost. The trip and the content you contributed to it (for example, chat messages or itinerary items) remain part of that shared trip, under the remaining members.
- Content you added to trips owned by other people likewise stays with those trips.
You are removed from the trip’s member list and your account itself is deleted, so you can no longer be contacted, added back, or looked up.
Your display name stays visible on what you already posted. The name you had at the time is stored on each chat message and itinerary note when you post it, so in trips that continue without you, your past messages and notes remain attributed to that name. Deleting your account does not rewrite them, because doing so would silently alter the other members’ record of a shared conversation. If you need your name removed from specific content, email us and we’ll handle it case by case.
Retention period
Deletion from our active systems is immediate when you confirm it in the App (or when we process a verified email request). Residual copies may persist for a limited period in our infrastructure provider’s encrypted backups, which are overwritten in the ordinary course; we don’t control that schedule directly. We may retain a minimal record where required to comply with law.
